Bio

Bob Saxby is a part-time woodturner (and a full-time college instructor) living and working in the Napa Valley of California. He has been turning out bowls, centerpieces, wine bottle stoppers and peppermills for seven years. He began turning when his wife offered to sign him up for a woodturning course with a renowned turning expert. She continues to encourage him to make beautiful pieces while trying to keep his mess in the shop. She even supports his buying lots of tools and cleans up the shavings he tracks into the house. He has studied under professional turners, Brad Adams and Jerry Kermode.

Bob is a member of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) and San Francisco Bay Area Woodturning Association (BAWA) for the past four years he has been the editor of the BAWA electronic newsletter.

Go into nature and spend time there today. Notice the beauty surrounding you and your willingness to just be with what is. We are nourished by all that nature has for us, right? Now step into your life with the intention to be with the people you encounter without judgment or dislike. Just be in the moment with acceptance. How do you feel?
